"My
wife's the boss, at least in the hotel! She was originally a teacher
but always had a secret wish to be involved in the tourist business.
Teachers work in a very particular way - sometimes maybe even a bit
too picky - and are well-organised, artistic and find it easy to deal
with words. For sure, you could say that they are Jacks and Jills
of all trades, which is ideal for the hotel business!
Our four children of 14, 16, 20 and 22 are all useful around the place (after a fashion!), but none of them is particularly interested in tourism. However, we remain hopeful, as ever..."

husband Hannes worked out his career path in tourism when he was still
sitting in his pushchair.
He is a great figures man, loves playing with statistics and budgets, as if that was really a pleasure for anyone!
He's also a superb handyman - he can make anything work: heating, car, washing machine, computer, etc., etc.
But if he had his heart's desire, he would simply be the host at our traditional mountain hut, the Reitherjoch Alm, or working the whole day long with a tractor or crane in the forest.
And because the hours in the day are just waiting to be filled (!) he has a "part-time" job as the mayor of Reith and even enjoys doing that well!“
