Reitherjoch Alm

Families especially love the alm in the summer. The large play area with witches' house, sandpit, fire area and water trough offers plenty that's fun for children, while the adults can relax in a deckchair or over a shandy on the terrace. Our tip: bring some spare socks!

Mountain bikers find the alm a tough but quickly-achieved challenge for an evening workout. Summer is the time to build conditioning for the yearly Reither Alm Challenge in the autumn.

The Leutasch Alpenexpress visits the alm twice a week so there's no excuse for anyone to miss out on this beautiful scenery.

Even when it's raining, it's pleasant to sit in the traditional lounge and listen to the crackling of beech wood in the farmer's oven and enjoy the tasty cooking with recipes from our forebears.

On Tuesday it's All You Can Eat from the grill, with fresh salad, baked potatoes, bread, sauces and tasty varieties of meat. Everyone agrees: they haven't had a taste sensation like this in years!

The alm is also a favourite for the seminar hotels in Seefeld. After a tiring day working with the brain, seminar attendees enjoy stretching their legs and swapping the hotel food for something a bit more substantial.
